Curtiss History
Curtiss is a friendly little village located at the intersection of County Highway E and State Highway 29. This section of County E was the route of the historic Yellow Stone Trail. The Trail came West from Colby, and North through Curtiss, then West again, on what is now Willow Road, into Owen and on to the West Coast.
The Curtiss Community Center is an old historic school which was built in 1912 and is being renovated. The building is, as its name replies, the Center of the Community.
